Adapted from Louis Stone’s novel, Jonah is a musical set in the slums of inner Sydney, and has, as its hero, a street larrikin who becomes a ruthless industrialist. It is packed with vulgar, colourful types presented in in a totally unsentimental way.

A fascinating account of the marauding street gangs of the early 1900’s, and a captivating love story, it tells of the unforgettable Jonah, a hunch-backed street thug who eventually rises to success in the cut-throat world of big business.
