It is with great pleasure that I can announce that Playlovers has won their stoush with the City of Nedlands, and the Hackett Hall lockout is over! An article from last week's
Post newspaper tells the tale.
Our ‘knight in shining armour’, Mark Burns, delivered our home back into our hands with a resounding win at the State Administrative Tribunal recently.

UPDATE ON PLAYLOVERS' VENUE
The Playlovers committee have been working tirelessly to address our lack-of-venue issue. As well as trying to negotiate with Nedlands Council on the future of Hackett Hall, we are exploring other avenues and searching out alternative venues with other councils.

UPDATE ON PLAYLOVERS' FUTURE AND WAYS YOU CAN HELP
For those who haven't heard, in late August, Nedlands Council closed Hackett Hall, Playlovers' long-time venue, with virtually no notice. They say a report they had done indicated that the building is structurally unsound, so it was closed for safety reasons. (more…)
