About Playlovers
Playlovers has been in operation for over 60 years and is one of the state’s foremost community theatre groups.. We have 4 – 6 productions a year (usually including 1 or 2 musicals). We are a friendly club and will happily welcome you as a member whether you want to be up in lights, doing something behind the scenes (lighting, back-stage, set-building, costume making, etc.) or helping with front-of-house or admin activities. We encourage members to come along and get involved in all aspects of the club – auditioning for things they are interested in, and/or volunteering to help out with backstage, technical or other activities.
Playlovers is governed by its constitution and managed by a committee.
Playlovers occasionally runs workshops on various aspects of theatre: acting, directing, stage-management etc.
