Save the Children and Playlovers Inc are proud to present "Seussical, The Musical", a celebration of many of the best loved stories of Dr Seuss.

With music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Aherns (Ragtime) the songs are wonderful, and with co-conceiver Eric Idle, it is more than a little off-beat (excuse the pun!). This show is “Dr Seuss for grownups”, but if the kids insist on coming along they’ll have a great time as the show is suitable for all ages!

'Seussical' follows the adventures of Horton, an elephant who one day hears voices coming from a speck of dust. He soon discovers that the tiny speck contains the smallest planet on the universe, upon which lives a tiny race of creatures known as Whos. Horton is ridiculed by the other animals in the Jungle of Nool for stubbornly believing in something he can’t see. 'Seussical' is about overcoming odds and being proud of your own ideas, no matter who or what you are”

Principles from our highly successful production at Playlovers in April 2006, will reprise their roles. Proceeds from this production will go to Save the Children.
